Ernie Cortez founding member and bassist for Powerhouse passed away on December 16th, 2004 from Prostate Cancer at the age of 37. Ernie was diagnosed with Prostate Caner in late 2003 which unfortunately spread throughout his body over the past year. Our hearts and prays goes out to Cortez family and Powerhouse.

There will be a memorial show on April 16th at Gilman Street in San Francisco, CA for Ernie. Time and bands to be announced, stay tuned for more details.

HxCEx - Special Hardcore Delivery is the new 3 way split CD release from Powerhouse, Numb - Japan, and Mind Snare - Australia. It contains two brand new unreleased Powerhouse songs with guest vocalist Danny Diablo - Ezac on Gun Shy.This is an Japaneese only release on Impak Muzik.

Powerhouse plan to take to the road this fall 2003. First stop will be Australia at the end of September and Europe in November/December. Stay tuned for information.

Powerhouse's What Lies Ahead title track featured on Off The Wall CD Vol. V on Vans Records headed by Pennywise frontman Jim Lindberg . Other featured bands include Bouncing Souls, Bad Religion, All, Ignite, Pennywise, TSOL and many more. The compilation will be available this summer at Vans Warped Tour venues.

Walter Ryan has left the drummer duties of Powerhouse siting family reasons. We wish Walter the best of luck. Replacing Walter on drums will be Ricky Ross orginally from Long Island, NY.
