Review: Skratch: Issue #48
San Diego boys stray from the Blink 182 norm to produce a very N.Y. Hardcore sounding album. Healthy doses of metal edged guitar run rampant, while overlapping with some early D.C.ish straight edge riffing. While no track really stands out from one another, I did find myself like the eclectic song, "In Time", due to it's aggressive yet introspective lyrics. I'm a sucker for songs about betrayal and loathing. I know anger is an ongoing theme in the hardcore world, but these guys seem as if they are pulling and reaching for the anger that is inside them. While most of the hardcore genre is made of macho posturing, these guys seem sincere in their rage, anger and despair. Sometimes it's good to blow off some steam. Check it out! -Larry Lugz
